Casual (pathway to permanent part-time) or Subcontractor

We’re a renovation and installation group operating across three brands — WeDo, InstallEx, and The Inside Project — and we’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Site Assistant to join us in Tasmania on a casual basis or subcontractor , with a clear path to permanent part-time for the right person. We are looking for 1 person in the north and anther in the south.

What you’ll be doing

This is a site-based role working alongside our project team — who are based on the mainland and support you remotely. You’ll be their eyes and ears on the ground, attending renovation sites across Tasmania, supporting trades, completing site forms, and making sure everything is running to plan.

You’ll also be completing statewide partner store visits and events, and helping with basic defect rectification work — tools training provided.

No two days look the same, and you won’t be stuck in the same place twice.

What we’re looking for

• Someone who’s comfortable on a construction site and around trades
• Basic hand or power tool experience — you don’t need to be a tradesperson, but you need to know which end of a drill to hold
• A self-starter — the team is remote, so you need to manage your own day without being micromanaged
• Good communicator — you’ll be reporting back to the project team regularly and interacting with clients and trades onsite
• White Card (or willing to get one — we’ll help)
• Own reliable vehicle — kilometres reimbursed for all work travel
• Comfortable with a role that’s physically active and on your feet
